Prior to being elected as a parent governor I volunteered at the school for several years facilitating animation workshops. As a former pupil of Shotton Hall Infants and Juniors I’ve always had a soft spot for the school. I feared that would be erased along with the old school buildings. Two of our children were amongst the first to move from the old buildings to the new school. I found the closeness of the combined schools and the excitement of a fresh and bright new building only served to enhance my love for the school. We now have a third child progressing through Shotton Hall and she is afforded the same nurturing and inspired education her brother and sister enjoyed. I became a school governor to ensure all future pupils have the same start in life my children have received. My role as a governor includes a responsibility for SEND, website and ICT.
